Obsidian for now

Obsidian for now

I have decided that I am going to give Obsidian a bit more time. If I'm being sensible, Obsidian is the right answer for my notes. It has everything I might need today, and is as future-proof as I could want. All non-binary files are some level of future proof, but Markdown files should be more easily useful years from now. My notes need to live locally and be easily readable. This eliminates things like Notion or Tana. And Apple Notes for that matter. Org-mode files require Emacs in order to be useful. Who knows if I'll be using Emacs in 10 years? I can tell you that I'll be using what I'm sure will be one of many available text editors with Markdown and WikiLink support.
