I’m going to spend time today seeing what VS Code has to offer. I’ve been here before but it’ll be fun either way.
I’ve been solving the same problems repeatedly for years. An example from 2003: Converting entries from blosxom to Movable type.
Blackwing Natural pencil
I was running low on pencils at work when @hjertnes told me about the new Blackwing Naturals.
I find the graphite is too soft in the very popular Blackwing 602s. The Naturals use “extra-firm Japanese graphite” which should be an improvement. I think they look terrific, so I ordered a box.
The downside is that I always cut off those sharp, unwieldy erasers. I’m looking forward to trying the new Naturals.
For coding, I was an Emacs user for 30-ish years, but I recently gave up the fight and switched to Visual Studio Code, which actually gives me everything Emacs did and more.

Can’t wait!
The primary driver of my switch to Lightroom CC was that I could easily edit photos on the iPad and yet so far I’ve edited zero photos on the iPad.
One from the latest roll. My cherished Caran d’Ache “Sharpening Machine”. (Hasselblad 500C/M. Zeiss 80mm. Tri-X. Hand-held. 16mm ext.)
